Discover the mythical beach Tamaricciu

Located north of the Natural Reserve of Bouches de Bonifacio, Tamaricciu is, by the beauty and diversity of its natural environments, an emblematic site.
Nestled between Punta di Colombara and Capu Acciaju of his white sand beach is one of the most popular in Corsica, while to swim there, the island of Folaca, foreshadowing Cerbicale islands, represents a sanctuary for fauna and flora.

Beautiful and fragile

If it is well preserved maquis, it is largely thanks to the regular trail maintenance avoiding ramblings and trampling of this busy area. Among the protected plants Tamaricciu, there is one that has given its name to the site: African tamarisk.

Beach Lavu Santu

DEPARTURE: Fautea beach.
DIFFICULTY: Easy.
You have to park on the edge of the road, beyond the barrier that leads to the beach and follow the path trail. After a few minutes of walking, the path splits into two. To mount the Genoese tower, turn left. For the beach, go straight. For beach Lavu Santu, go down the beach Fautea (right) and follow the customs trail for 30 minutes.

The river Cavu

Discover the forest Zonza in its eastern part with a stunning panoramic view of the plain. Trail-rich plants and shrubs of the maquis.
DEPARTURE: at the intersection of Sainte Lucie de Porto Vecchio, head towards Taglio Rosso. Cross the village and take the forest path. In the village center's departure is reported.

DIFFICULTY: hiking without major difficulty.
NOTE: In case of fire, forest gate at the entrance to the track is closed. Do not cross it.
