Alta Rocca is a semi-mountainous area bounded by the mountainous massifs of Bavella, L’Ospedale and the Cuscionu Plateau, whose highest peak is L’Alcudina at 2134 m. Two major valleys, the Rizzanese and the Fiumicicoli, provide the region with a broad opening to the sea.
The richness and diversity of its well-maintained natural sites, its cultural and architectural heritage, and its character-rich villages with their lovely granite homes make Alta Rocca a genuinely hospitable region.
Here it’s clear that the Corsican soul lives in the mountains.
Things to see and do :
Amongst the many typical charming villages are Sainte Lucie de Tallano, Zoza, Serra di Scopamena, Aullène, Levie... The pass of Bavella...
